Marshall Lorenzo is a sketch comedy writer and performer originally from Auckland, New Zealand.

He’s fresh off of writing the debut season of Canada’s Drag Race, produced by the Emmy Award winning creators of RuPaul’s Drag Race.  And previously the head writer of the multi Canadian Comedy Award winning troupe The Sketchersons.

Known for their famous show Sunday Night Live, modeled after Saturday Night Live, the show features local artists and comedians including celebrities such as Tom Green, Tim Baltz (The Righteous Gemstones), Carolyn Taylor (Baroness Von Sketch), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Scott Adsit and John Lutz (30 Rock), Paul Brittain (Saturday Night Live), James Adomian (Comedy Bang Bang), Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall) and even Brett ‘The Hitman’ Hart.

He is also a writer and performer for the sketch comedy troupe ‘Panacea™’, that garnered rave reviews and a 5N rating in Now Magazine for their self-titled debut show, and was named top 5 shows to see at the 2015 Toronto Sketchfest. He is part of the 2019 Canadian Comedy award winning ensemble queer sketch show ‘Extravaganza Eleganza’ which was named one of the 2018 Now Magazine top 5 comedy shows to watch. He’s performed regularly in the Toronto Sketch Comedy festival and was picked for the ‘Best of the Fest’ showcase in the 2018 Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival as a solo comedian.

He also wrote the book and lyrics to a sixty-minute disco musical about Marineland for the 2015 Toronto Fringe that critics hated, garnering reviews such as “Why disco?” and “WTF”. Marshall is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and in 2014 was nominated for the Second City Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Fresh Meat showcase. He likes three things: vodka.

Carly Heffernan is an award winning director, writer, actor, showrunner and Capricorn. She is currently the Artistic Director of The Second City Toronto. She is also an alumna of the Second City Toronto where she wrote and performed in four main stage revues. She became the youngest resident director in Second City Toronto history when she directed the critically acclaimed, main stage hit, Come What Mayhem! She co-wrote, Second City’s Guide to the Symphony, which played such historic venues as Roy Thomson Hall and the John F. Kennedy Center. She also directed the critically acclaimed Second City main stage revue, “The Best is Yet to Come Undone” which was named one of NOW Magazine’s TOP 5 Comedy shows of 2018 and the smash-hit, first ever, all-female Second City sketch revue, SHE THE PEOPLE which played for three years in Second City Chicago’s UP Theatre as well as enjoyed runs in Boston, Nebraska, Washington D.C. and Toronto.
